Responsibilities
- Provides ongoing training, support and feedback to all camp staff, volunteers, and supporting staff.
- Provides direct support to designated and/or identified campers (ages 3 – 16 years old); ensuring a safe, fun, and appropriate learning environment.
- Communicates with camper’s parent/guardian about their camper’s involvement in camp, camp staff on best practices and problem solving, and Education Management team on organizational support for camp staff and camper families.
Qualifications
- Two years of undergrad completion in Education, Special Education, or related field required; degree preferred
- A minimum of one year of professional experience working with children, particularly those with a disability.
- Individual should understand and respect campers, recognize that learning is a process and not a product, is committed to positive behavior management, and makes the learning process engaging, fun, and driven by the individual camper.
