What to Wear and Bring 

  • Guests must wear traditional swimwear at Zoombezi Bay. 
  • We suggest bringing a beach towel, sunscreen, and sunglasses to wear when lounging! 
  • Water shoes are optional but not permitted on some attractions, and we suggest a coverup or change of clothes for the drive home.
  • Forget something? Check out our gift shop for necessary items.

Purchases at Zoombezi Bay

  • Food and retail options are available throughout Zoombezi Bay. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. 
  • An ATM is located next to Sea Star Sundries.
  • Guests ages 21+ can purchase alcohol at Zoombezi Bay with a current state-issued ID.

Zoombezi Bay Amenities

  • Lounge Chairs and inner tubes available on a first-come, first-serve basis for guests throughout Zoombezi Bay 
  • A nursing station and family restrooms are located within Zoombezi Bay.
  • A limited supply of aquatic-rated wheelchairs are provided for guest use.
  • Guests may exit the park to visit the Zoo, go to their car or experience the Rides at Adventure Cove. Show your hand stamp or receipt from your ticket purchase to re-enter Zoombezi Bay.

COTA Bus Service

Arrive at the Zoombezi Bay in style (and save money, too)!

Riders on COTA's ZooBus will receive:

  • $10 off general admission to Zoombezi Bay
  • $5 admission to the nextdoor Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

Receiving Your Discount

Once you arrive at the Zoo, head to the admission window at Zoombezi Bay, where you will be asked to verify eligibility to receive your COTA Zoo Bus discount. If you are a Mainstream customer, show your COTA-issued Mainstream ID card instead. It's that easy!

Guest Safety
  • All bags are subject to search as you enter Zoombezi Bay. Threat Detection is in use and required for all guests entering Zoombezi Bay.
  • We recommend that guests do not leave anything of value visible in parked cars or unattended within the park. Lockers may be rented to store valuables. The Columbus Zoo and Zoombezi Bay are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • To help us ensure guest safety, all guests are encouraged to "see something, say something" by contacting a Zoombezi Bay staff member with any safety or security concerns.

Lost and Found
  • Found items are kept for seven days.  
  • The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  • The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay cannot mail Lost & Found items.
